Library
The Academy library is a two story facility. In the center of the first floor is the circulation desk. The second floor is formed such that the middle of the level is open, allowing a being to look down at the first floor from any side. Suspended above the circulation desk, at about the level of the railing on the second floor balcony, is a model of the Sol solar system. The ceiling above the model is a skylight, letting what light from the sun that reaches the planet enter. One of the walls is transparent and looks into the garden. This is also the main entrance to the library.
Bookshelves radiate out from the balcony like spokes on a wheel, except that the area is square rather than circular. Along the outer walls are tables that can be used for studying. In the center of each table are power and network connectors for several datapads. Near the middle of each wall, other than the one overlooking the garden, several computer terminals can be found for those who didn't bring their datapad with them. For those interested, the card catalog can be searched using any datapad or terminal.
In each corner of the library are conference rooms and study cubicles. Also along each wall is a pair of ramps to go between levels. As you enter through the main entrance, the room to your left is the library office. If she isn't at the circulation desk, you will probably find Tila here. The room to your right is a small computer lab. This lab contains equipment that the average student probably wouldn't have at their disposal in their room.
At the circulation desk are a trio of terminals. Two of them are situated such that you can see the main entrance while working at them. The third is facing the opposite direction.
