Melissa, Chel's mother, works for a branch of the government as a biologist. She often works together with her husband on correlating teams due to their specialized work. [1]

She's highly interested in the Nanites she found in the blood sample [2] taken from Lexx's wing (lost here) - as well as the fact that the blood comes up human. [3]

She seems to be more open minded about Chel's friendship with Lexx and suggested to Victor that they wait until Chel tells them about it. (May 3, 2006)
