Wisps are a sort of warm blooded, feather-winged snake that has scales only on its back with very sharp fangs and a triple forked tongue. They hatch from eggs and at least some of them are golden in coloration.
They're actually kinda cute,.. if you can imagine a snake with the temperment of a cat.
