Shoes and protective clothing are recommended when playing in the dome, with secure straps to get accurate readouts of the score. (No Angel, strip 77)
The dome is a six level practice shooting range that scores your hits. There can be up to six teams at a time in play - one can shoot them or the holotargets provided to score, though it is against the rules to shoot members of your own team. Shooting holographic targets allows one to rack up points faster without chancing losing points by being shot. (No Angel, strip 78)
It is not unusual for Technomages to bring their pets in with them, or to pick team names that make them look weak.
