• One of the few characters in both Shivae! and Puppet Strings

• Hates shivae, considers them scrawny pathetic wastes of flesh
• Will settle for nothing less than complete domination of the land.
• Lord Dior is a genetic aberrated, created by the newcomers (transplanted Cyantians (there were wolves and other species involved in the original tampering, but the Fox were in the majority)). He was among the first of their test subjects in playing with things they knew not of and he escaped, along with three female Scythetails that had undergone similar tampering, although not to his extent. He'd been kept in secret for years. His bones replaced by metal and various other parts with flesh grown around them slowly and over time. You might consider him close to immortal,... except for one thing - he has to be maintained and he has a normal brain and heart. His body at the time of Puppet Strings is no longer capable of healing itself completely and showing the steel parts. He's slowly losing the flesh, and once the decay gets to his heart or head, he will die. Right now, it's affecting the extremities where the blood flow isn't as strong. The brain and heart would be the last to go. And of course,.. he needs to be maintained mechanically as well as biologically.
• Determined to obtain and maintain Taun as part of his herd - at least in part due to her wings. He has limited telepathy with her.

• He found Marrion half dead in the mountains after the owner who bought her was disassisfied with her service, beat her severaly and abandoned her. He took her into his service. Dior has a menagerie of refugees under his claws. He also tends to keep a pack of regular scythetails with him.
• Syke was going to post (but didn't) an urban legend about the monster in the tower. They tell stories of the dark tower where lights glow but nobody lives and beasts with huge appetites prowl. Even the Arturrel do not fly around the dark tower.
• Dior can't leave without being considered an aberration... so... hehe... there might be a story of a little trip to the dark tower at some point.
• He has grown more ticked off with age.
