Frost Grass/ Ice Grass

A bamboo like material with an edible inside. Large forests of it grow within the Alpine lakes, their shoots usually rising ten to fifteen feet off the water's surface. This tall bamboo like plant grows in the various rivers and lakes. In the calm waters of a lake varitable forests of the stuff grow. Unlike the Ice fruit that are often found in the same vicinity, Ice grass can be harvested and used right away. Although the outside of the plant is too tought to eat and digest the tender inner strands are a part of the staple diet, is also key ingredient in many dishes.
